After returning to the MERCY, we picked up the anchor and headed to the north. I didn't really intend to end up in Marsh Harbour at Harbourview Marina, but the folks are so nice, and...
I try not to write too much about boat problems, but they are a part of cruising life. My house fresh water pump's pressure switch has been sticking. I've been trying to remember to shut the pump off when I'm underway, since I can hear it when it keeps running when I'm anchored. Anyhow, I forgot, and instead of it blowing the end of the hose off, as has happened twice; I had those clamps tightened sufficiently that the nylon reinforced hose split.
I scurried an email to Fred last night, and he bought and packed me a new water pump in Allen's backpack. I went into Marsh Harbour today, went to the hardware store, replaced the blown hoses, and am once again enjoying a carefully monitored house water system. I have a note on the door to remind me to shut the water pump down if I walk away from the boat.

I am waiting until Allen gets here to help me change the oil in the mains. OK, really, to move the dive tanks that are blocking access to the five gallon bucket that I need to get to change the oil. Do some push-ups tonight Allen, and get those muscles ready!
Tomorrow is a laundry day, and I guess I'd better clean off a little space on Allen's bunk for Allen. (Just kidding Allen, looking forward to seeing you!)
